Description:
Designed by a physical therapist, this manikin demonstrates how the vertebrae of the human spinal column react when heavy objects are lifted correctly and incorrectly. The manikin will lift a weight from either of two positions. If the correct posture is used, the spine is undistorted (no spaces between the vertebrae). The incorrect posture causes obvious visible strain to the simulated vertebrae. The rugged base features anatomical illustrations of the effect on the spine. Free booklet entitled "Safe Manual Handling" is included. Size: On a 5-1/2 inch x 9 inch base; 16-1/2 inches tall when standing.
